Tokaji Aszu 5 Puttonyos, Chateau Dereszla 2017 (50cl)

A very well priced, and quite delicious, example of one of the world's great sweet wine styles. Chateau Dereszla, which dates back to the 18th Century, has been renovated and modernised since the early 2000s and now has 27 hectares of prime Grand Cru vineyards, planted mostly with Furmint and Harslevelu for the sweet wines. This is softly scented, full of ripe concentrated peach and apricot and some baked quince with a luscious, honeyed but still lively finish.
