Muscat de Beaumes-de-Venise, Domaine des Bernardins 2019 (37.5cl)
This estate is one of the best in the beautiful hillside village of Beaumes de Venise, while the 17 hectares of Muscat a Petit Grains vines (all harvested by hand) are on the lower slopes of Mont Ventoux. About a quarter of the grapes used are black Muscat, giving this a slightly orange tint. Perfumed and expressive, with juicy apricot and peach fruit, raisins, caramelised orange and a touch of almond with rich, honeyed sweetness.
