The vineyards of Château de Lascaux, deep within the dense oak and pine forests of the Val de Montferrand, have been in the same family for 15 generations but Jean-Benoit Cavalier only established the domaine (now certified biodynamic) in 1984. As well as brooding, characterful red wines from Pic Saint Loup he also makes this delicious, aromatic and textured blend of zesty Sauvignon Blanc and soft, peachy Viognier (plus some Roussanne, Marsanne and other local varieties): versatile, food-friendly and extremely easy to drink
