Barolo 'La Morra', Corino 2019

  • £50.00

Celeste Corino started growing grapes in the commune of La Morra in the early 1950s, his son Giovanni subsequently acquiring further vineyards but estate-bottling not beginning until it passed to his grandson, the present owner, Giuliano. There are now 9 hectares planted just below La Morra and the family produce very fine, authentic expressions of Nebbiolo, with ageing of up to 24 months in used oak barriques: ripe, subtly scented, quite full ripe cherry/raspberry fruit, with hints of smoke, licorice and earthy forest floor.
