Peninsula Pinot Noir, Crittenden Estate 2022

  • £24.00

Garry Crittenden was something of a pioneer when he first planted vines at Dromona on the Mornington Peninsula south of Melbourne in 1982. The estate, thanks to the peninsula's maritime climate, has led the field since in the development of winemaking in Australia's cooler regions, especially the production of elegant Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Winemaking is now in the hands of Garry's son Rollo and the Peninsula Pinot Noir (fermented in the Burgundian style using wild yeasts and bottled both unfined and unfiltered) is softly scented and textured with bright, vibrant fruit, fresh acidity and some fine tannins.
