Gigondas 'Les Pallieroudas', Domaine Burle 2017

The Burle brothers took over the running of this estate from their father Edmond in 2004, Florent managing the vineyards and Damien in charge of the winemaking. Their 'Les Pallieroudas' cuvee is from 65 year old vines and is packed with character, lively but quite full-bodied with fresh, ripe black cherry and raspberry fruit, some soft cinnamon spice, gentle earthy tannins and notes of leather and garrigue herbs.
