Companhia de Vinhos Invencível Tutored Tasting - Thursday 4th December 2025

Following on from our pre-Christmas tasting of the Niepoort range in 2023 and Quinta de la Rosa last year, we're delighted this year to herald the festive season by showcasing a third boutique producer of both fortified and table wines from the Douro, the Companhia de Vinhos Invencível. Silvia Viramontes from UK agent New Generation Wines will take us through a selection of the Invincible wines including white and red from the Vinho Verde and Douro DOC regions and some of their superb ports.

The Companhia, in Casais do Douro near Pinhão, arose as a partnership between Rita Marques, a leading light of the new and innovative generation of Portuguese winemakers,  and Marc Kent, best known as the winemaker of renowned producer Boekenhoutskloof in South Africa's Franschhoek Valley. Their focus at Invincible is on small-scale production, favouring low-yields and hand harvesting along with a variety of biodynamic techniques, an approach quite removed from the larger, established commercial port producers. These are carefully crafted wines and a contemporary but highly authentic expression of the Douro character, not to be missed.

A selection of light food is included in the ticket price and all the wines will be available to order on the night.
