Terrific value traditional-method sparkling (a blend of 80% Chardonnay with 20% Arbois, a less well known variety local to the Loire Valley) made by the charming Anne-Sophie Penet and her Burgundian husband Frederic Meurgey at their small estate, this is aged a minimum of two years on its lees before disgorgement and has a gentle creamy mousse, crisp apple, stone-fruit and brioche notes and a zesty, lively finish.
