Pic Saint-Loup 'Carra', Ch de Lascaux 2023

The vineyards of Château de Lascaux, deep within the dense oak and pine forests of the Val de Montferrand, have been in the same family for 15 generations although Jean-Benoit Cavalier only established the domaine (now certified biodynamic) in 1984. Their 'Carra' wine hails from the rugged Pic Saint-Loup appellation, and is a brooding, earthy and full-bodied expression of southern French Grenache and Syrah, full of blackberry and blackcurrant fruit with notes of black olive and some peppery spice.
