Monteleccio, Sesti 2021

  • £21.00

Giuseppe Sesti only first planted vines at Castello di Argiano (not to be confused with the equally fine Tenuta di Argiano, also in Montalcino) in 1991 but his wines are already some of the best examples of Sangiovese in Tuscany. The Monteleccio is merely one of the 'entry-level' wines, using grapes not destined for the more pretigious Rossi di Montalcino and Brunello, but shows exceptional elegance for the price, with ripe, plush fruit, a touch of Mediterranean herbs and warm spice, and very refined tannins.
