'Le Difese', Tenuta San Guido 2020

  • £28.00

The 'third wine' of Tenuta San Guido, known for its legendary (and considerably more expensive) Sassicaia, one of the original 'Super-Tuscans'. This is aged for 12 months in a combination of French and American oak barrels and made in a fresh, supple style for immediate enjoyment although further cellaring will certainly do no harm. The 2017 has plenty of ripe, forward red cherry and damson fruit, with some smoky, earthy spice, rounded tannins and a savoury, herbal finish.

70% Cabernet Sauvignon & 30% Sangiovese
