Saint-Veran, Domaine Michel Chavet et Fils 2022

Christophe Chavet is the sixth generation to run this domaine based in the village of Davaye, with its 10 hectares of vines in Saint-Veran beneath the imposing limestone escarpment of Solutre. This is that rare thing: well-made but affordable 'everyday' white Burgundy. No oak is used, just stainless steel, so the wine is fresh and lively, with rounded citrus and pear/apple fruit flavours and some vibrant minerality on the finish.
