Bourgogne Rouge, Chateau de Garnerot 2019

A superb example of fruit-driven and accessible Burgundian Pinot Noir from this well established property in Mercurey in the Cote Chalonnaise, based around the 18th Century chateau and now run by Alexia Russo and Caroline Fyot. Ripe, supple and expressive and from 40 year old vines, this sees 10 months' ageing in barrique but with little or no new oak.
