Verdejo, Montecillo Singladuras 2019
Textbook Verdejo made a little further afield by terrific Rioja producer Montecillo, from vines growing on typical gravel soils surrounding the towns of Rueda and La Seca. Fermentation is in stainless steel with some lees stirring to add texture and complexity to complement the ripe, fresh melon and citrus fruit and lively, zesty finish. Really delicious and an excellent food wine.
